New to Wrk It or just curious about how something works? This page answers the most common questions about using the app, from getting started with habit packs to understanding how XP and badges are earned.

Getting started

Yes. Wrk It is free to use. Create an account, join habit packs, track your progress, and earn XP and badges at no cost.
No. Wrk It runs in any modern web browser — you don’t need to download anything from an app store. Just open the site and sign in.That said, installing Wrk It to your Home Screen as a Progressive Web App (PWA) gives you several benefits:
  • Offline access: your habits and recent data stay available without an internet connection.
  • Push notifications: reminder notifications are only delivered reliably when the app is installed to your Home Screen (required on iOS; strongly recommended on Android and desktop).
  • Full-screen experience: the app launches without browser UI, similar to a native app.
See Install Wrk It as an app for step-by-step instructions.

Habit packs

A habit pack is a themed collection of habits you commit to completing on a regular schedule. Each pack has a title, a set of individual habits, and a frequency that defines how often you need to complete them — for example, every day or a certain number of times per week.Packs are the core unit of Wrk It. Your streaks, XP, and badges all grow as you consistently complete your active packs.
Yes. Go to the Add New screen and choose how you want to build your pack:
  • Manual: write your own pack title, add habits one by one, and configure the frequency and schedule yourself.
  • AI-generated: describe a goal in your own words — for example, “Build a morning routine with exercise and meditation” — and Wrk It will suggest a complete pack with habits and settings for you to review and customize.
You can also set whether your pack is public (discoverable by other users in Explore) or private (visible only to you).
Yes. You can be an active member of as many packs as you like. All of your active packs appear on the My Wrk dashboard, organized by what is due today.
When creating or editing a pack, you can choose from the following schedules:
FrequencyHow it works
DailyAll habits are due every day
WeeklyYou set a number of completions required per week
MonthlyYou set a number of completions required per month
Custom daysYou pick specific days of the week (e.g., Mon, Wed, Fri)
For weekly and monthly packs, you also set the day the period resets so the schedule aligns with your week or month.
Your streak resets to zero. Wrk It requires consecutive completed periods to maintain a streak — there is no grace period or streak freeze built into the default flow.Your completion history is never deleted. You can always review past performance in the Stats tab to see which days you completed and which you missed.
Set a reminder in your Profile so Wrk It nudges you before your habits go uncompleted for the day.

Gamification

You earn 10 XP for each habit you complete. Complete five habits in a pack and you earn 50 XP. XP accumulates across all your packs and never resets.
There are 50 levels. Here is how the XP thresholds work:
  • Level 1 requires 300 XP.
  • Each subsequent level requires 10% more XP than the gap before it. For example, reaching Level 2 requires 630 XP total (a gap of 330 XP from Level 1), and each gap grows from there.
You can see your current level, total XP, and progress toward the next level on your Profile page.
If you reach Level 50, your XP continues to accumulate even though there are no further levels to unlock.
Badges are awarded automatically when you hit specific milestones. You don’t need to claim them — Wrk It evaluates your progress whenever you complete habits and unlocks any badges you have earned.Badge categories include:
  • Streaks: maintain a streak of 7, 14, 30, 50, 100, 200, or 365 consecutive days.
  • Consistency: complete 100% of your habits in a day for the first time; maintain 7 or 30 consecutive perfect days.
  • Pack rankings: finish in the top 10 of a pack with 5+ members, top 3 with 10+ members, or rank #1 in a pack with 20+ members.
  • Global leaderboard: reach the global top 100, top 10, top 3, or #1 position.
  • XP milestones: accumulate 5,000 or 25,000 total XP.
  • Creator: create your first public pack; grow a pack to 100 or 1,000 members.
View all your earned and locked badges on your Profile page under the Badges section.

Leaderboards

The global leaderboard ranks all Wrk It users by their total cumulative XP — the sum of every habit completed across all packs, ever. Users with more total XP rank higher.Pack-level leaderboards rank members of a specific pack by XP earned within that pack.
Not exactly. The leaderboard updates periodically rather than after every individual habit completion. Your position may shift up or down as other users complete their habits throughout the day.If your rank seems out of date, try pulling down to refresh the leaderboard view.

Privacy

Your display name and avatar are visible to other users on global and pack leaderboards. Your email address is never shown publicly anywhere in the app.Other users cannot browse your habit details, pack contents, or completion history — only your leaderboard position is public.
Yes. When creating a new pack, the visibility defaults to private. Private packs are only visible to you and do not appear in the public Explore feed. You can also change a pack’s visibility after creation by editing it. Toggle the Public / Private switch in the pack settings to control who can discover and join it.
If you switch a public pack to private after other users have already joined, existing members retain access. New users will no longer be able to find it through Explore.
